Why I created this service

Frustration! Just straight-up frustration with existing file-sharing services. No matter where you go, there's always some stupid catch they're trying to hide: limited bandwidth (slow speeds), limited file size, limited time to download, and so on. I just wanted a simple service that allows me to share files with fellow developers and friends without all the hassle.

After a frustrating evening of trying to mod my game and finally getting it to work, I wanted to send it over to my friend for him to try out. But then I realized the file was too large for any of the services I used—it was well over 5 GB. So I said, "Screw that. I don't want to pay for a service I'll only use once in a while." And so, the idea for this service was born.

Why does this service also have limits?

I know, I know—I just said I didn't like limits. But as you can imagine, it's not free to run a server and create a service like this. And since it's currently hosted on a more limited server in terms of storage and bandwidth, I had to set some limits. But unlike other servers that try to hide the limits in small letters I am upfront about it.

I really wish I could allow you to upload as much as you want and share it with the world. Therefore, if we get enough traction—and maybe even some donations—I will be able to upgrade the server and remove the limits. So if you like this service and want to support it, please consider donating or sharing it with your friends. The more you donate, the better the server I can get, which in turn means more storage and higher limits for everyone!

Can I get around the limits without doing anything? Oh, no doubt—some more skilled people can get around the limits by using multiple accounts, VPNs, or whatever. Even though I don't encourage this, I understand that some people might still do it because they are scumbags. If you still decide to do this anyway, please note that you'll only ruin it for yourself and others. The more junk you upload, the quicker the server fills up, and the more likely it is that we’ll reach a point where you can't even upload a single file anymore. So please don’t be that person. Just be a decent human being and use the service as intended.
